V.A. Easing Rules for Users of Medical Marijuana

With a recent policy change, The Department of Veterans Affairs will now allow patients treated at its hospitals and clinics to use medical marijuana in states where it is legal.

The tide is turning and this will be bigger in the future.  It is easy to feel the momentum changing.  This is a good thing for society, as it will get a lot of people off dangerous medications, that do not work, and have really bad and dangerous side effects.

 “We didn’t want patients who were legally using marijuana to be administratively denied access to pain management programs.”

The new, written policy applies only to veterans using medical marijuana in states where it is legal.

“By creating a directive on medical marijuana, the V.A. ensures that throughout its vast hospital network, it will be well understood that legal medical marijuana use will not be the basis for the denial of services,” Mr. Krawitz said.
 

THIS IS A MONUMENTAL STEP FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGE THE MEDICAL USEFULNESS OF CANNABIS.
